Voting is our most fundamental right as Americans. We know that 51% of California voters cite a lack of transportation as a factor in deciding not to vote — so we’re doing everything possible to make sure that nothing stands between you and your ballot. Check out these 9 ways we’re making it easier for you to get to and from the polls on November 6.
9 WAYS WE'RE MAKING IT EASIER TO GET TO THE POLLS ON ELECTION DAY
Metro trains will be free all day.
Metro buses will be free all day.
LADOT's DASH and Commuter Express buses will be free all day.
Parking meters will be free within one block of polling places.
Parking time limits will be relaxed within one block of polling places.
Parking restrictions due to street cleaning will be suspended within one block of polling places.
Permit parking will be suspended within one block of polling places.
The first 30 minutes of Metro Bike Share will be free: use code 1162018.
Access Services and Cityride will provide free rides to and from the polls for riders with disabilities and their companions.
